Movie Recommendations

Hello everyone,

Today's blog will be another movie recommendation, but this time I'll be recommending some of my favorite thriller movies. This genre is another one of my favorites because despite not being horror, this type of movie can make your hair stand on end and keep you hooked to the screen until the last minute, plus they often contain incredible plot twists.

For this recommendation, I have chosen 5 movies and at the end, I will share others that also deserve recognition.

Us (2019)

The story follows Adelaide Wilson, a woman who travels with her family to the coastal town where she spent many moments of her childhood. When night comes, something terrifying happens to them and it is that in front of their house, four people physically equal to themselves appear, something like their own evil version. Then their only way out will be to end that impostor family.

Hide and Seek (2005)

To help his nine-year-old daughter recover from the shock of her mother's suicide, David Callaway leaves town and goes with Emily to live in a house in the woods. The environment seems to further alter the little girl, whose attitudes become increasingly disturbing. She begins to talk about a dangerous imaginary friend named Charlie, who threatens and terrifies them.

The Invitation (2015)

Will and Eden were a happy couple until they tragically lost their son years ago. After this event, Eden decides to disappear without giving news until one day she returns to the city with her new husband, but she seems to have completely changed. She and her new husband invite Will and other friends to a dinner party, but something unsettling and unrecognizable has taken hold of her and she seems to have sinister plans for her guests.

Fractured (2019)

A couple travels with their daughter through the United States and, when stopping in one place, the girl breaks her arm in a small accident. They take her immediately to the hospital, but they have to wait many hours for her to be treated. The father, Ray Monroe, falls asleep and, when he wakes up, his family has disappeared and no one at the hospital remembers seeing them, nor is there any data that they have ever been admitted to the hospital.

I See You (2019)

In the midst of a family crisis over his wife's infidelity, Detective Greg Harper tries to find out the whereabouts of a 10-year-old boy who has disappeared in the small town where he resides and during this time, he and his family begin to experience paranormal occurrences in their own home.

Special Mentions:
  • Red Eye (2005)
  • Unlawful Entry (1992)
  • Death Sentence (2007)
  • The Glass House (2001)
