My favorite hobbies

Hello everyone,

In this blog, I've decided to talk a little bit about my interests, the things I like to do in my free time, and so on.

First of all, I love watching TV (like most people maybe) what I like watching the most are movies (that's why I like my movie recommendations section 😊) and I also love watching Korean series, since I was a child, I started watching them and the first one I watched was "All about Eve" because it was broadcasted on channel 12.

Another of my hobbies is listening to music, when I cook, when I do homework, when I do chores or when I go on a trip I have to be listening to music. My favorite band is The Beatles ❤️ (I've listened to them since I was 11 years old) but I also like Queen, Soda Stereo and the songs of Big Time Rush, I've also listened to this band since I was a child because I loved watching the series, and I listen to the K-dramas OSTs, and one or two songs by the current singers.

In addition, I love to cook. Before the pandemic, I couldn't even cook rice, but since 2020 as we had to be locked up, cooking caught my attention. I’ve learned to make several meals thanks to my mother and I also watch videos of recipes on the Internet. I even write in a notebook the recipes I learn, but only the ones that are more difficult, I’ve barely written 10 recipes but I hope to fill the whole notebook. 

Another thing I like to do is to paint, although I haven't done it for many years, this was one of my hobbies when I was a kid. When I was about 8 years old, my mom took me to "La casa de la cultura" in Soyapango because she noticed I liked drawing and painting. In that place, I met several good people and I had an excellent teacher who taught me a lot because at the beginning my paintings were not so graceful, but every time I was getting better.

In addition, I’ve realized that I also like to make crafts, (I think I inherited that from my mother because she also likes to do that) as I love miniature figures, I started making figures with polymer clay by watching YouTube videos and together with my mother, we make foamy or felt figures for our family events.

(This is a doll that I made for my grandmother's birthday party 👵🥳)

(We made the bags with felt, it was for a children’s event, and the last two pictures were for my parents' 30th anniversary. The 1st one was made with foamy and the 2nd one with polymer clay)

There are other things I like to do, but I think these are the most important and my favorites, there is also a list of things I would like to do and learn but that will be for the future.

    What beautiful creations you have made! :0 and wow it's fantastic to know that you are into a lot things, and that you are really good at them:) and haha you unlocked the memories when I used to watch Big Time Rush and and I also listen to their music as well; they were good times:") Thanks for sharing a bit about your hobbies; they are very interesting and now I would like to try one day to make miniture figures with polymer clay, it looks super cool:)

Storytelling festival

Hello everyone, In this last blog I will talk a little bit about my experience doing the storytelling festival. To be honest, before I did it, I was nervous because I was going to "act" and I'm bad at acting. Whenever I have to make a video, I always take a long time because I laugh or make a mistake while recording (Now I have enough material to make a video only of bloopers  😅 ). Despite the mistakes and all the takes I had to do, I liked this activity and I also really liked the result of the whole video. Another thing that kept me nervous was that the story my group and I had chosen was too long. Fortunately, we were able to change it to a shorter and more interesting one. Homemade garlic powder

  Hello everyone, In today's blog, I would like to share with you how I make my own garlic powder at home.  To be honest, cooking has become one of my hobbies since the pandemic began.  By watching videos and looking for recipes I have learned to make my own condiments and I consider that this benefits me a lot because doing it on my own, it is cheaper for me and at least I am aware that the garlic powder I am consuming is natural and has no other additives. By the way, for this recipe, all you need is garlic  and the help of the sun. 😂🌞 The first thing I do is peel the garlic. Then I cut them into thin slices, trying to make them of the same thickness. I place the garlic in trays and put them in a place where they receive the sun to dry. (This procedure can be done in the oven, but I will teach you the way I do it.
